Cybersecurity Terms Glossary

Wikipedia says computer security, cybersecurity, or information technology security protect computer systems and networks from theft or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data and from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. Homeland security says cybersecurity is the art of protecting networks, devices, and data from unauthorized access or unlawful use and the practice of ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Most of us in the information security industry agree that cybersecurity refers to the technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
